I am Texas born and bred, but now live on a small 10 acre homestead in rural, northeast Oklahoma, where I have a studio for painting, numerous hens for fresh eggs, four very large dogs with the occasional batch of puppies, and a loving husband who builds a fire for me in the studio in the morning, and then leaves for work at the local university so I can paint.
I graduated from McMurry College in Abilene, Texas with an Elementary Education degree specializing in Art, and then for thirty years taught elementary and middle school art, worked in advertising, and raised four daughters.
